Parabolic lines have three sink rates throughout the length of the line. This creates an intentional upwards curve in the line. This causes the flies to follow the line up and down through the water column. Stillwater anglers like these lines for covering different depths throughout a retrieve, and to create some movement in your flies that may trigger a strike.
